I have a HD cam which shoots 720p. I render with sony vegas.

The video looks cool in youtube if i click 720p, but when its normal 360p it looks MUCH worse. So how can i get it to look cool in 360p too?
There are a lot of people who’s videos look really sharp in 360p too. (like Julian Smith https://www.youtube.com/juliansmith87 ) He shoots HD too but youtube doesn’t compress his videos in 360p to look ugly.
Also in 360p sounds come too early but in 720p not. And in 360 the background looks horrible, it kind of flashes in every 2 seconds. I have tried different formats but always the same problem.

I upload a lot so i need answer quickly! 🙂

    Theres an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9FPgPuhU-w

So 720p is great but 360p is so bad :/ How can i get 360p look good too? How should i render?

What file format did you use to upload to YouTube?

You should be using the Sony AVC format with the Internet 16:9 HD 30p template for YouTube videos.

I used that sony avc to my new video and it worked pretty good. But with that video what i linked it doesn’t work. Someone said that its because theres so much grass in the background thats slowly moving all the time. But i know lot people who have also grass in their videos and they look great.

You need to have enough bits to encode the complexity of the grass so you need to increase your bit-rate of the render if you want it to look better.
