Flip Ultra HD Rendering to HD For Youtube
Okay so I’ve been using Sony Vegas products for a long time now yet I’ve never really understood how to render my videos well. I do get moaned at by my subscribers for not rendering my videos properly but it’s because I don’t know how.
Today my Flip Ultra HD arrived and I filmed a quick clip round my bedroom to test it out. It looks great and I am happy, you can view it here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppNDFkIRAxk
Now how can I ensure that when I put a few video clips together in Sony Vegas 9.0 that it will still render out at the same quality? I’ve created a 3 clip video which is currently uploading to Youtube now but I don’t think I’ve done the best rendering options, therefore it wont have the option to view in 720p. I changed one setting from usual which may make this possible but I doubt it. I may be rushing in to posting this as in 45 minutes time when it finishes uploading it may be great and I have no problems however I doubt that.
You see I watch videos on Youtube for advice but people are advising to do settings of 1080p and stuff which I don’t understand. If the Flip Ultra HD camcorder can only film in 720p then why would I want to render the video file I’ve put together at 1080p?
If anybody could give an explanation behind all of this I would be ever so grateful. Any general advice on the matter or anything you think may be of importance for me to know would also be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
