Time code lost from clips???
I have two hours of footage recorded on my JVC dv5000 a few days ago. Captured into Vegas 9, using DV capture the same way I’ve used it for years.
When I go to Tools > Scripting > Add timecode to media, I am seeing each clip as beginning at TC 00:00:00:00. It looks like that in the media bin or when put onto the timeline.
If I look at the clips in Windows Explorer, I see the actual timecode from the tape.
So, for some reason, Vegas 9 isn’t seeing the timecode from the AVI files.
I loaded in some footage from my hard drive used on a project a few weeks ago (same Camera, same VTR used for capture and same installation of Vegas on the same computer), and Vegas IS seeing the timecode in that file, so it looks like my capture somehow got messed up?
Any thoughts? A setting I inadvertently changed?
One more note: In the Video Capture applet, it shows the actual time code from the tape as “Current location.”
Thanks in advance…..
