I have a Canon HV10 camcorder connected by firewire to my computer; I’m using Vegas 9.0b. When I try to capture DV video I get “Video Capture has detected that it was not shut down properly. Would you like to load the previous project?”. Whatever I answer, Video Capture just crashes at the next step.

I have tinkered, reinstalled and hit it with a stick. I can capture just fine with Windows Movie maker.

What can I do now, that maybe a little less violent?

I always used Scenalyzer Live for my DV captures and HdvSplit for my DV captures.

I can capture, with either Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Premiere. I’m just curious as to why Vegas won’t do it, and a little annoyed too.
