Effects being canceled out?
Ok so i’m making an old fashioned video. I added grain and film effect but by accident I clicked on the preview screen and now there is this grey box ( which is the solid color I added the effect to ). I’m pretty sure that when I clicked the preview screen and dragged my cursor it cut out that areas effect! Now I can’t find out how to get rid of that box!
Please help!

Click on the button above the preview screen that looks like a circle that’s half dark and half light. It’s a FEATURE of Vegas that you turned on so you can see the difference of what it looks like before and after.

This sounds similar to a problem someone else had when they turned their preview green. Check the Overlay button and make sure it is set to Safe Area.
Also you may have played with the FX Bypass which allows you to draw an area that is not affected. Just check and make sure this is also off.
