To wrap this up:

Extensive searching and posts on various help sources have convinced me there’s no particularly easy way to do this. What I ended up doing was:

Draw a pattern of diagonal bars in Illustrator.
Wash said image thru Photoshop to make the background transparent
Use keyframes to animate the image crossing the screen left-to-right in…

So, playing around with my new JVC camera. It has the typical LMH switch for gain. In the menu, you can assign values from -6db to +24dB, in 3dB steps. So, 11 steps spanning 11 stops of adjustment.

I just got my first camera that records LOG footage, a JVC GY-HC500. There are 4 colorspaces available when recording in h.264: ITU 709, ITU 2020, Hybrid Log Gamma, and J-LOG 1.

I bought a “FauxPro” action camera, and overall, am satisfied. However, it recorde video as .avi, and the files do not make my Mac happy. As others have said, using keyframes would be a simpler way to accomplish this. That being said…

Go to the last frame of your zoom. Open the Inspector, and take note of the values for

Autosave / Backups do not work like you expect.

In the Project Manager, right-click on the project. From the popup menu, look for “Project Backups…” near the bottom. This will give you a list of backup files. Click one (or several) and hit “Load”. This will put the backup project into the Project Manager, and you can then open it.
