The answer to #1 is to drop your shot into shutter encoder, select “Cut without re-encoding”, and then in the bottom right change it to “split” and set it for every 10-seconds or whatever you need.

An FYI as well for windows users as I just upgraded to a new HP tower — it appears that the R680 isn’t compatible with windows 11. ATTO support thought that the driver ‘should’ work in windows 11, but it doesn’t (at least on my system) and since it’s now a legacy product there will be no more driver updates.

Looking to upgrade our drives that we use for on-location footage offload. Does anyone have any recommendations for fast and stable drives? Usually we use less than 2TB per shoot, and offloading in a hotel room so power is not an issue. Our gear:

As mentioned above — double check that alpha channels are turned on in the import settings.

I created a DVD for a client and for the first time used captions tracks (previously had hard-coded the captions into the video). I’m using Arial font bold 18 pts, but the captions don’t look great, lots of stair-stepping. Is this a limitation of it being SD resolution & 2bit color, or am I missing some settings to get these to look better?

Running CS5.1 and received this error when building a blu-ray: “file already exists”, Code: “6”, note: “IG button exceeds video bounds.

A google search shows nothing useful…one person who had an issue with a video menu. Mine does not have a video menu.
