Is there a way of bringing the keywords and markers from FCP to DeVincie?

Keywords : is there a way to have a keyword collection listed within a bin ( like in FCPX) as opposed to in collections ( which lists keywords in the whole project- which in the doc I’m working on is begining to look like an unwealding phone book )

Has anyone used Command Post as a plug in for moving markers with the footage when importing an edit from FCPX into DaVinci . FCP, even after promising it can do long form projects, is causing huge problems. Long time with wheel of doom even just scrolling up and down events menu. I’m wondering what to do at this point, as need to get this film done. Should I split over several edit bundles? Worried about investing more time that could end in failure. Someone has suggested devinci resolve, but I have worked on this project for a year and it would be painful to start from scratch.

I’m using G-Technology 4TB hard Drives, bought from Apple shop, so should be what they say on the can. I just imported media onto hard drive directly…..didn’t format them in anyway.

I have background rendering turned on

so I have a complicated documentary/ a lot of interviews/ and live events/ complex themes. So it was easier to have one long timeline to then drop in selects from interviews across the whole length of the film. Now even scrolling up and down the events menu is invoking the wheel of doom for long periods of time….like let’s just take our lunch…

Hi guys, which is the best App/ way to download something from YouTube ? We have the family’s permission to use their brothers footage . They are really keen it should be included in a film we’re making. But it’s on YouTube and they don’t think it’s backed up on a hardrive. So I need to get as good a copy as possible. Any suggestions ?

Just had to transfer my edit to a new computer, I’m in the middle of a huge edit and need to be able to connect 4 hard rives, but only have 3 ports.
