<p>I am trying to set a position on layers with a Dropdown menu controller on each layer. This code I have cobbled together is not working correctly. Option 3 puts the line where Option 1 should. And vice versa. And Option 2 is the same as Option 1. Very confused! Any help would be massively appreciated.</p>

But this doesn&#8217;t quite do what I need to.</p>
<p>To explain myself better &#8211; in Illustrator (see attached images) when you create text within a box it automatically splits the lines.</p>
<p>Is there any way of doing that?</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve had a good look around &#8211; I can find lots of tutorials which create a box around pre-established text. But none the other way around &#x1f62d;</p>
<p>With this, I could have a set sized box and then fill it with text (actually coming in from a CSV) and have the lines automatically split.</p>
<p>This would be such a great help.</p>

Then created a bunch of text layers pointing each source text to the top layer &#8211; it returned a value like this footage(&#8220;text.csv&#8221;).dataValue([0,0]). That looks like it will work fine for me. Then I can swap out the text layer.</p>

And then type 1 to go to that marker.</p>
<p>It was a completely essentially part of my workflow. Now, unless I am missing something it has vanished! </p>

<p>&#8211; add a null<br />
&#8211; put an expresso tag on it<br />
&#8211; add 4x user data entries to the null (0-100)<br />
&#8211; drop the null into the expresso tag and turn on the user data at the bottom<br />
&#8211; drag the icon of the transparency gradient of a standard shader into the xpresso window (couldnt get this to work with arnold)<br />
