Tahoe 26 – Is it me?

When I right click to eject my media drive – apple gives me the option to erase the drive – RIGHT BELOW eject. Now I can read and click the buttons etc. but I have clicked “erase” twice this week. Is this supposed to be good software engineering? Happy editing everyone

I usually leave core video footage on an external drive and keep the PP files and things like additional photos, music, effect passes, round trips on a desktop folder as (mac) the cloud would back that up. Looking for a piece of software that replicates my editing directory with daily additions or subtracts dynamically and automatically, so at the end of my edit day I have two current copies on two drives. I did do this a few years ago but some of it was more complicated then it needed to be. thanks – Mark

Yes – I still have an old Mac with a kona card installed and Media 100! – so I can do it that way. Only problem is Media 100 and all the old systems transcodes everything – then I gotta drop it in a m100 time line and export to h264

Hi, I’m exporting, (not a newbie) totally frustrated as ANY thing I pick in the h264 flavour is creating banding on tracking shots on drywall. Super high data rates, 2 pass vbr, maximum bit depth – doesn’t matter = banding. Somebody straighten me out please and I’ll buy you a pizza. (everything fine in Pres btw)
