I’ve created a project that has clips on both an external drive and my network drive. I am leaving home and won’t have access to the NAS (not fast enough access anyway). Is there a way to find and copy all of the clips that are on the NAS to the external I will be taking with me?

I often will import a folder from the Finder then add more files later to that same Finder folder. I will then have to re-import the folder into FCPX. Is there a way that Final Cut can automatically import/see files I’ve added to that folder? TIA.

I have a custom title that I’ve created. I want to add the styling of that custom title to all of the subtitles in my project. Typically, I select all the subtitles in the timeline and then double-click on the custom title in Browser. Hi. Whenever I export a file from FCPX, I typically delete all the meta info it automatically creates under “Description,” “Tags,” etc. Is there a way to not have to do this each time? I believe I can alter that within a project. But I would love not to have to do it every time I create a project. Does anyone know? Thx!

Yeah, it was weird. I did have the footage in the multicam (at every angle) when the timeline goes black. I think it was a glitch. I deleted a number of plugins, and it seems to be working after that.

I have clips shot on a Sony FX6 that I’ve brought into Final Cut. They were shot at 120fps. But Final Cut is showing them as 23.98. Was trying to quickly identify all my slomo clips, but this is making hard. Any advice? TIA.

Hi. For some reason, my entire screen keeps zooming in. I have to go up to Window/Zoom to get the entire screen to show back up. This only happens in FCPX. I am using the new 16″ MacBookPro (with the notch). Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi. I copied a library and all the linked files to an SSD. When I open it up, a whole storyline of content (all images with Ken Burns effect applied), the images are way smaller. Hey, novice Motion user…more of a FCPX user…is there a way after I publish a Motion project to Final Cut, drag that project/generator into my timeline, make changes to it…is there a way to go back into Motion and make changes there so it will then show up in my timeline in Final Cut? When I open the compound clip named “VW20 Invite Clip”, it opens a very similar looking clip called “Vw20 Invite” that I believe was the plugin. Keep trying to upload a screenshot but it’s very similar looking to what I uploaded already.

Is there a way to apply a title template to multiple titles at once? E.g., I use the title template by Tap5a for subtitles. I have a number of titles I’d like to apply that to. Any quick way to do it?

Right now I am dragging Tap5a to each title and clicking “replace.”

Hi. I have quite a bit of multicam content. Am wondering if there is a script or quick way to cut between the different shots. I could just do +1500, 1 (move ahead 15 secs then choose Camera 1) over and over (alternating cameras). But was wondering if there’s a quicker way. Thx!
