When I tried to restore the data I forgot the version and tried with HP Ltfs 3.2.0. As it gets error I reinstalled 3.4.2 but no luck. </p>

As many of the folks advised me to change my ATTO R680 cause it&#8217;s not have TLR for error correction, while I am getting errors again from a month I have replaced my R680 with H1280. But, I could be able to copy 2.3TB to the tape now which is better improvement than the earlier 1.89TB. </p>

<p>As far as I concern about temperature the temperature of the room is at 20c, humid levels are low and it&#8217;s a clean room. we will getting lot of dust everyday as it is faced a main street and the vehicle traffic is moderate&hellip;</p>

<p>I did tried with multiple tapes new and old. Tried with cleaning cartridge as well. It&#8217;s a rental drive and the provider is insisting drive is in perfect condition and the problem must be with the mac environment where he has no idea. </p>
<p>So I have connected the same drive to a Windows workstation with a different sas card cable also&hellip;</p>

<p>thank you for your quick reply. All I am doing is giving format command from hpe graphic user interface. There isn&#8217;t two option like you said quick or full tape erase. And it is not taking like 4 hours to fomat just a few minutes than regular. </p>
