<p>So lately I&#8217;ve been using a lot of grain and textures in the illustrations in my projects. I don&#8217;t really need the grain or textures to be animated, I&#8217;m happy to have them static &#8211; My concern is how best to add the grain? Do I bring it in from Illustrator as a vector texture or from Photoshop as a png or is that a bad idea?</p>

Is recreating your design (created in Illustrator) within after effects using shape layers/lines etc. best practice to have maximum control over your animations? Importing an illustrator design (after separating into layers) does not appear to give me all the options when compared to recreating them&hellip;</p>

It probably is the alpha like you are saying, I&#8217;m pretty sure it&#8217;s something basic but not sure how to stop this alpha channel from displaying in the Octane live viewer?</p>
