Actually, even if I export with John’s settings and then convert the file to mp4 with media encoder, it still generates the black line. Never mind, the main problem is solved. Now I’ll do some testing to find a satisfactory lowres 🙂

Hi Andy, thanks for you time!
Actually is doing it with both; illustrator and After Effects shapes. here I tried to create a shape from scratch in after effects and make sure it has no stroke assigned. Yet there are still black borders in export (right split screen)

When I export files from After Effects, it always creates thin black pixel lines on edges on the vector shapes (looks like a thin drop shadow). In the attached example I exported in H.264 – mp4. Can you tell me what this is due to and if there is a way to get the vector shapes as clean as in after effects comp?

do you know if it is possible to fix something in the export parameters (in Ae or Me) to prevent this slight black outline from forming around the white letters?
