You&#8217;ll probably need that on any computer. You could use a Blackmagic Mini Monitor or AJA T-tap which will give you HDMI out to a video monitor. Both these use a Thunderbolt connection on your computer. Does the PC have this?</p>

I recently uploaded a video to Avid showing them quite a few weird &#8216;features&#8217;. With your OS and working at HD or lower, you can use the old Title Tool or Marquee. If you use T+, avoid selecting colours with the colour bucket &#8211; try the RGB sliders in the Effect Editor instead.</p>

In any old folder? Avid will only see files as Avid native media if in an Avid MediaFiles folder. It&#8217;s quite possible to transcode to an Avid codec and link to the files as usual. I imagine this is what you are seeing.</p>
