Thank you Francois — fiddling around with the FX Bypass dropdown seemed to do the trick, but I don’t know how or why. Even when my buttons were the same as yours in your SS, it wouldn’t affect the picture. But suddenly, it startd to work. I don’t see a direct way to add a SS to show you, or I would.

Can you explain it?

Here’s a SS, Graham. The FX button is set to Enable. The sliders have no effect on the picture — this is how it came out of the camera. i just want to add a bit of contrast.

I’ve tried the Bypass Button on and off, with and without the Nvidia GPU, restarting, etc.

The track FX and the clip FX have no effect on the image.

I’m using Vegas 13 build 545 64 bit on a windows 10 platform.

I am using 7 video tracks — could that be too much for my system? I can see the track numbers in the edit window but the frames are black.

I’m cutting a music video and I’ve synced about 7 tracks of video to a single master audio track of the song. All of the video tracks are lip-syncs of the artist singing the song, so all run in parallel.

So far, to get to any of the lower tracks to use their scenes for a cut, I have had to “S” cut and slide back all tracks above them for that…

it was my fault — I had the “Link” button on, sooooo…..

Also, I am finding that even muted tracks that are darkened are “sticking to active tracks I am trying to move on their own track line. I have Ungrouped several times. I have turned off and restarted the program.

Very frustrating!

When I click on the track visibility icon to turn it off, all tracks turn off or on depending in the track I’m trying to control by itself.

Using V13 and PC w/ 12 gigs RAM

Now for the next issue: When palying back footage from the camera in Vegas and in Windows, when using the in camera IBIS, very ugly “frame tearing” was visible whenever I panned or moved the camera. This was freaking me out…

I’m trying to edit in Vegas 13. I’ve never had this problem before, but the camera is a new version and maybe my old Vegas cant recognize it’s file format, even tho it says its an MP4?

Any ideas on what I can do?

Thank you, Francois! I d/l’ed it and put it into the top video track but I am missing the right way to make it transparent. What do I need to do?

A client wants a home video look to her video using the old flashing red record light, changing time code and frame outline as an overlay to the finished footage.

Does anyone have a source for this overlay?
