Vegas Pro 15, don’t see an option for slideshow.

I just dumped about a hundred or so photos onto a timeline and about start splicing and adding transitions in between (ugh)

Over the years, I’ve become the go to guy in the family when it comes to video editing.

OK, I had downloaded Quicktime before trying Handbrake and I think that screwed things up on the Audio end, so I reinstalled Vegas Pro 15 and tried the Handbrake file again and it appears to be working for both audio and video (yay!!)

Kinda sucks that I’ll have to convert each time though (especially since I deal with A LOT of dash cam footage)

I was able to convert a test file using Handbrake and it worked (kinda).

I can now drag and drop that file to my timeline, however, the audio is completely jumbled (sounds like loud noise)

Is there a specific setting I should be using when converting?

They’re all MP4 files (same as with my other dash cams where the files work fine)
From what I’ve read, it may have sumthin to do with H.265 (whatever that means)

I have a new 4-channel dash cam (VANTRUE Nexus 5) and the clips all play fine on my laptop’s player (wmp classic), but when I try to drag and drop the files onto my timeline (Vegas Pro 15), all I get is a single audio track.

On all of my other (older) dash cams, I get both a video and audio track.

What am I missing here?

Also tried the second method at the 1:50 mark of this video, but my version doesn’t appear to have the dots to click on in order to move the preview screen

Tried all the buttons and messed with the resolution settings, but still have the same issue

The extension works fine when playing videos, but only does this split screen thing when I click on the video preview button
