I have to agree, Apple fed us some malarky about listening to us, reaching out to the film and network broadcast industry, and failed to follow through. FCPX won’t die, but it won’t evolve, it’s there to show off how many streams of 8K video a new high end Mac can do, nothing more.

Moving lights? Do you mean shadows?

Not sure if there is anything like that in FCPX but in AE you would have to create masks and use 3D shadows to create that.

I can’t help find that specific transition. And if it was a few years ago and a one-off it’s probably not compatible with the latest versions. You can achieve the move with “Basic 3D” using distance, tilt, and swivel, combined with the position controls. You can add a border and fake the extrusion using multiple DropShadow effects.
