<p>I have to agree, Apple fed us some malarky about listening to us, reaching out to the film and network broadcast industry, and failed to follow through. FCPX won&#8217;t die, but it won&#8217;t evolve, it&#8217;s there to show off how many streams of 8K video a new high end Mac can do, nothing more.</p>

Select it, Clip &gt; Open Clip. With this method you&#8217;re working on the Master Clip, so every Timeline you drop it in to will have the changes you made. &lt;font face=&#8221;inherit&#8221;&gt;<span>Compound and Layered clips you can simply double-click (as with Sync and Multicam clips) to do the same thing. Do you mean shadows?</p>
<p>Not sure if there is anything like that in FCPX but in AE you would have to create masks and use 3D shadows to create that.</p>

And if it was a few years ago and a one-off it&#8217;s probably not compatible with the latest versions. You can achieve the move with &#8220;Basic 3D&#8221; using distance, tilt, and swivel, combined with the position controls. You can add a border and fake the extrusion using multiple DropShadow effects. </p>
