<p>I tried a new sequence with tracks in stereo &#8212; they didn&#8217;t offer plain stereo, that option was grayed out, so I tried stereo submix and other options provided. The new voice track I recorded was still in mono. </p>

I&#8217;ve used a Zoom h4N and a boom or lav mic and it&#8217;s fine. You may be able to attach the recorder directly to the camera using the XLR inputs in which case it&#8217;ll be native to the clip. I like contingency plans, so often I&#8217;ll use the on-camera mic plus a separate recorder to have two&hellip;</p>

It sounds like the menus are easier to navigate for vids than those of the Canon, also the mirrorless is lighter weight. </p>
