My preferred solution for deep archive is Archiware. It’s a very mature product and the support is excellent. It’s doesn’t use LTFS but arguably that’s a strength for deep archive.

Have heard good things about Yoyotta but do not have any direct experience with it.

Stay away from Storage DNA. Very poor support.

Correction: Steps are: eject tape, power cycle drive, reboot Mac, insert tape

Just to confirm you need to run these commands with the tape loaded in the drive.
