<p>The reason my render is so slow is because I have this complicated custom script that gets progressively heavier on the CPU the further you are in the timeline.</p>
<p>I have a feeling it&#8217;s also what makes the multi frame rendering fail.</p>
<p>I was wondering if there&#8217;s a way to just&hellip;</p>

<p>I&#8217;ll try rendering to a PNG sequence, from what I understand it should be somewhat faster as well.</p>
<p>I do have one question though, the entire project is just a single scene and it has a&hellip;</p>

<p>It took over 15 hours, but at least it didn&#8217;t have any dropped frames.</p>
<p>Though I&#8217;m not sure if it solved the problem or I just got &#8220;lucky&#8221; with that specific render.</p>
<p>Any other ideas I can try? 15 hours render time is a bit of a problem for me.</p>

<p>I do have multi frame rendering on, but I have no third party plugins at all.</p>

<p><span>Unfortunately almost every render ends up having some dropped frames or other visual anomalies (like the image is suddenly &#8220;jumping&#8221; or &#8220;blinking&#8221;), </span><span>I&#8217;ve only managed to render 2 good projects so far.</span></p>

(In a way that will also let me edit the keyframes)</p>
<p>Basically just like when you click on a layer and press T and it shows you just the opacity lane, I want to do the same but with the specific parameter I need.</p>
<p>How can I do that?</p>

<p>It worked like a charm. I think I even managed to add a base speed to your code by adding &#8220;+(time*mult2)&#8221; to the final outcome. I also added the smooth expression to the audio keyframes to make it less reactive and more average.</p>
<p>Side question, is there a way to apply expressions like smooth on the layers that are referring to the&hellip;</p>

<p>At this point my project is done except for this one bug, so if I can fix that instead of recreating everything in a new way it might not be the smartest solution but it would be the quickest&hellip;</p>

<p>My project is just a typical 3840&#215;2160 resolution, but the effect I&#8217;m trying to achieve is quick camera movements over a great distance, enough to create a strong motion blur effect for a duration of a second or half a second.</p>

<p>Each of these layers is pretty much the maximum image size AE will let me have, so I can&#8217;t create a comp that would be big enough for more than one of them.</p>

<p>These layers all move in complete unison, since they are tied to another separate layer that has two expressions on it to control size and position.</p>

<p>The only question I have now is which parameter can I edit in order to increase the minimum travel distance?</p>
<p>EDIT: Adding a multiplier to startVal and endVal seems to help, but it sometimes creates a &#8220;jump&#8221; right before the layer starts moving.</p>
<p>**Another note, I don&#8217;t need any &#8220;protection&#8221; that prevents the layer&hellip;</p>

I&#8217;ve already found this guy&#8217;s expression for random movement, but like you said it doesn&#8217;t have the pauses.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve tried for hours to add pauses but I&#8217;m failing to even get a clue on the very basics.</p>

<p>The key here is that the layer needs to stay still between each movement, for a duration of my choosing. </p>
<p></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve looked online and only found similar expressions, however my AE skills are pretty much zero so I wasn&#8217;t unable to edit them to&hellip;</p>
