<p>I am seeking ideas on how to approach a multi-screen documentary / installation project that I will soon start work on.  I have had a long break from editing and am back, trying to get my head around FCPX.</p>

<p><span>Wow, I don&#8217;t know how you did it but it is working almost perfectly!!!!  Hundreds and hundreds of clips and edits and bins etc are all there, relinked and ready to go.  In total only 8 files cannot be relinked </span>alegedly<span> because, &#8220;frame rates don&#8217;t match&#8221;.  I&#8217;m sure I can easily work through this problem.</span></p>

<p><span>Not sure if it will help, but I want to tell you my goal with the project.  Originally, I sliced up my interviews, dumping thematically similar clips on timelines.  Hence all those themed folders.  Some themes were </span><span>then </span><span>edited much tighter.  It&#8217;s these unrefined but categorised timelines I want to use as the starting&hellip;</span></p>

<p>It&#8217;s taken me a few days to find the right project file.  This is a fairly massive project with many, many timelines.  I&#8217;m assuming you work one timeline at a time rather than somehow converting the entire project.  From memory, the project is divided into a series of themes, maybe 30 in total.  I will eventually need the latest edit&hellip;</p>

I think my project is quite large. I&#8217;d be happy to pay you for your time if you were able to help me. I quit the film and tv biz 12 years ago and have just got a new laptop, ready to dive in again.</p>
