So it sounds like you are changing text within a nest. That same nest is now in two sequences.

You need to break those text layers out of the nest and then copy them. You should then be able to change the text in the new sequence.

You just can’t expect that the same nest will be different in two sequences.

Perhaps you are copying an old fashioned title. And actual object that resides in the Project window as an asset the way we used to do it? Instead of making it a source graphic?

You can do it using the Console but it annoys the Adobe Design Engineers.

Yes, it is the “M” key but for some reason I vaguely remember that it was the asterisk key. Or my memory is simply playing tricks on me. All my old book are packed away at the moment so I can’t reference any that I worked on for Premiere Pro 1.5. 🙂

I understand not wanting to rely on a subscription product, however, if you are concerned about such things, I suggest that you simply organize your files into the file structure you desire within Lightroom. You can use the DNG file format so that changes are contained within the file.

Hmmm. There is either something odd about your Pr installation or possibly the source audio. But my suggestion is to render and replace. If that doesn’t work, ask to edit it in Audition, then save it back out. Or simply export out of Audition.

Are you sure you are on Waveform Audio?

If you want to screen share I might be able to find the problem looking over your shoulder, so to speak. I can’t imagine that you don’t have the necessary codecs.

Do you have Adobe Audition on your computer?

It should be easy enough for you to set up an audio export using A-Law at 8Khz mono, but the 64 bit part makes no sense to me. I don’t even see the point of 16 bit. After all, 8Khz is not exactly going to make an audiophile happy.

I would make a copy of the clip and put it on a higher track. Since you will be messing with the scale of the upper part, put it on the lower track and simply crop the bottom part (the higher track). You can scale up the top part (on the lower track) all you want and the bottom part will not be changed in any way.

Why worry about setting up a new sequence? Drag the video to the “New Item” icon and it will create a proper sequence for you based on the video itself.

When you create the new project, it really doesn’t matter what the original settings were.

I can think of a few different ways to mark a sequence to help you put videos in the 45 and 15 second slots.

One way would be to simply use markers.

Another way would be to create a 45 second color matte with the name “45 seconds” and a second matte with the name “15 seconds”. Put those on track one. You can copy/paste the two mattes over and over…
