<p>That&#8217;s perfect. The only adjustment I needed to make was to increase the division to 200. Perhaps that&#8217;s because I&#8217;m using 20 repeater instances- in which case I am guessing that number should always be number of instances x10, then&#8230;?<br />Initially it gave me some error about not subtracting from the position matrix, but the error vanished&hellip;</p>

<p>I am animating some text made of shape layers and I am using the repeater trick to create a fake chunky Extrusion effect. <br />I&#8217;ve tried to be a bit (too) clever and rigged up a slider so that I can animate between each repeater&#8217;s own anchor point location, and the anchor point of a Null at the center of the comp- the idea being that I can&hellip;</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve made a setup to randomise the scale of a layer and also apply an animatable wiggle to it. I&#8217;ve linked it to sliders which control frequency, amount, amount multiplier and random seed. It works&#8230;but not as intended.<br />You&#8217;ll see in the script&hellip;</p>

<p>In most cases, pickwhipping will work but sometimes it just won&#8217;t- for instance trying to link the source point in Trapcode Shine to a null (they&#8217;ve now included a link to null function, I know).<br />Linking start and end points of advanced lightning, or some gradient&hellip;</p>

<p>So sorry&#8230; I should have tested it further before responding. When I set it up (footage layer with null target), moving the null produced no movement in the layer. However, if I link the first null to another and move that, I get the desired movement. So it does work!<br />Thank you so much Dan, I cannot overstate how much I appreciate this.
