This is a prickly discussion because that very expensive purchase decision seems to depend upon whether one needs that specific render capability. </p>

Actually, from the BMD Resolve Forum, someone points out that this is a feature, not a bug! That is, from the manual, p. 321, &#8220;Frame Display Mode,&#8221; it seems to speak to this. Here is the helpful reply.</p>

So should be no problem, right?</p>
<p>First, Resolve 17.4.1 is much quicker to load (Hooray!). But, like 17.4,<b> Resolve has serious (as in, totally dysfunctional, hangs, crashes every time) issues with importing tif frame sequences</b> and&hellip;</p>

But they don&#8217;t seem to be sorted in any way and can literally be a decade out of date. Unless I am missing something, it is all useless.  Those old posts of course refer to old versions and are not helpful.  </p>
<p>Just add a Sort by Date button, or whatever???  Thanks.</p>

Glad an expert had a quick look at this. And also that you did not seem to recognize this issue otherwise: That is, when a guy has a problem he is rarely the first one if it is a genuine app issue.</p>
<p><b>I did some of the usual re-install and re-start and, happily, it is much better, perhaps fixed.</b></p>

<p>We have all used power windows a thousand times, piping a power window into the next node, in addition to the RGB video pipe.  One could then, for example, brighten a face power window in the next node using the piped power window. Or, we might use, for example, an HSL or 3D&hellip;</p>
