<p>I support being risk averse &#8211; it seems like being open to the harsh realities of drive failures. Now I&#8217;m working on adding off-site backup, and that&#8217;s where the iDrive service comes in. It seems very convenient, and semi-automated which is a plus. But an issue may be that&hellip;</p>

I had a long run as a crew member on big TV and movie shoots (Prop / Set Dresser), where getting clean sound is a priority. I probably spent months of cumulative time being silent after they yelled &#8220;rolling sound!&#8221;</p>

Of course talk (or a website) is cheap. But I bet their software isn&#8217;t! If you hear of a company that uses their tech and will do work on an &#8220;outside&#8221; project please let me know. I <i>might </i>be able to afford that. </p>

<p>I&#8217;ve been using Crumblepop&#8217;s Audio Denoise AI plug-in, and it seems to<br />
do a very good job, considering how loud and &#8220;wide spectrum&#8221; (I think)<br />

Most of the tapes became single AVI files, up to 30 GB in size. I started by creating FCP Libraries, each of which contained the file(s) from one videotape.</p>
