So I just changed the preview files from ProRes to H.264 and rendered again and that did the trick. Opened another project, played it, same issue as before, switched to H.264 as well and it’s working. Thanks both.

Also, might be worth noting, that video continues to play absolutely fine. It’s just audio is lost until it’s paused and played again.

Sequence is fully rendered (both visuals and audio).

Nothing in my workflow has changed – same kit / camera settings I’ve been using for a few years. Quicktime is fine for playback I believe, I’ll double check later though. It’s just playback in Premiere.

The battery has lost a lot of juice, but other than that the system is in good condition.
