@ Neil I would use a mac software if I could get the SMB share speed to my ubuntu fileserver above 100MB/sec. I have 10 gigabit cards on both machines. Doug I would caution against Argest backup…support is almost non-existent given that OWC did not hire the technicial support staff from Tolis group.

Neil, I’m curious to know what software you would recommend now for basic LTO archiving from ubuntu.

Has anyone received anything from the bruinfo@owc.com address we are being directed to? What software are people switching to? I only need basic features for single workstation archiving and backup.

I would also like to know the status of BRU/Argest at OWC. Please let me know ASAP. The latest version of Argest (June 1 2020) produces errors when attempting to import the BRU PE environment.
