I was under the impression that the switcher needed to be set to the same frame rate as the cameras (30) … but apparently not?

I’m working for a small venue in SoCal. We’re streaming live music 6 nights/week.

Gear:

4 x PTZOPTICS cams (unsure of the model, awaiting tech support to let me know via the serials)

1 x Panasonic AW-HS50 switcher.

The cams are set to 1080/30fps and connecting SDI to our switcher.

The switcher format is set to 1080/59.94fps. There is no option for…

Assigning Audio Roles within a Synchronized Clip?

I’m learning about Roles, Synched clips, etc in FCPX.

I have a bunch of video clips imported into FCPX. They’re slated and labeled with the appropriate camera/angle.

I also have all my rough mixed audio 2 mixes imported into my project.

So, I have something like this for my video clips:

01-A-CAM1-T1

01-A-CAM2-T2

01-B-CAM1-T1

01-B-CAM2-T2

We multi-tracked audio into Pro Tools. Slates=yes. I didn’t jam TC from audio to camera … that’s above my knowledge level 🙁

I’m importing a ton of clips from something we filmed. Do you guys rename your clips according to scene/take/etc or do you leave them as is so you can reference the original name if needed?

Audio not playing through audio interface

I’m having an odd issue.

I’m on FCPX 10.6. Big Sur.

I use an Antelope Orion 32+ as my audio interface. Never had an issue with it till trying to use it with FCPX.

FCPX will not play audio through my Orion interface. No matter what I do…it will not route through my interface. My System Preferences have the Output selected to run through the Orion…

Proper white balance on music videos with multiple cams?

I do music videos and live performance vids for fun. I have a Sony a7sII and 2 Canon T4i’s. What’s the proper way to set custom white balance when the lighting scenes will constantly change and there’s really no scene with all “white” lights?
