Can anyone offer some insight as to why .Movs and .MP4s created on an intel Mac will not play on a M1MBP? I just get a black screen. Audio plays but no video.

Can anyone else replicate this bug?

This might be a stupid question but when working on re-edits based on a series of timecode stamps from a client how do you avoid needing to always start from the end and work back to avoid the magnetic timeline adjusting itself?

Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question…. But how do you STOP FCPX adding a transition (let’s say a simple crossfade) to the start of a clip when dragging it and dropping it ONLY to the end of a clip??

My current old Mac Pro (trash can) has finally died. I edit in FCPX and mainly work with XAVC footage. I was planning on upgrading to a new Mac Pro, but have been advised by a much more techie friend than me that the processors in the new Mac Pro are really bad at working with H.264 footage. Is this right? *How* bad are they?

FCPX (10.4.8) consistently crashes when importing SRT files. Does anyone else have this issue? And if so, have they been able to resolve it?
