macOS Monterey, latest premiere. I cannot choose or browse a custom LUT – I just get a beach ball. Forums said trash prefs but that did nothing.

Say we have 1 Mac with 1 CC account but 2 local users … both of which sync the “Creative Cloud Files” folder using the same CC account.

We now have 2 copies of this folder using double the space.

Is there any way to point both local users to the same sync folder?

I tried “moving” it to /Users/Shared but that didn’t work. Tried changing permissions…

I was looking at “Use expressions to edit and access text properties”(https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/user-guide.html/after-effects/using/expressions-text-properties.ug.html) … which is cool, but I don’t see a way to set styles for only some characters/words with a text layer.

Is there any way to do this? Like change the font of the 2nd…

Macos 10.15.7, Ae 17.7.0

When I attempt to open Preferences in any project, I get the spinning wheel of death. If I wait long enough (1-2 minutes) it will eventually open.

I tried resetting preferences, but it made no difference. Ae also doesn’t quit when I ‘quit’ … I have to force quit every time.

Any other solutions?

System Preferences > Security > Full Disk Access > Enable After Effects.

Also check Files & Folders for good measure.

Yes, it’s not that. Even dragging the aep on to the Ae icon doesn’t work.

Lately I’ve been getting this annoying popup when trying to open an .aep from Finder:

The only way to open the project is “File>Open…” from within Ae.

Anyone else have this? Is there a fix?

This is great, thanks! But why can’t I do something like:

hsla = rgbToHsl(value);
newColor = hsla * [1, .5, .5, 1];
hslToRgb(newColor);

This gives me error “one argument must be scalar.”
