Sony PVM-20L5 question</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>I&#8217;ve been doing as much reading as I can find on the PVM-20L5 and I think the answer is that it is not a digital monitor. But I&#8217;m not 100% sure. In the manuals they talk about it accepting a 1080i signal but they don&#8217;t mention if it is via SDI or not.  Also there were apparently adapter boards that you could buy to allow for an HD-SDI input. Which&hellip;</p>

Sony PVM-20L5 question</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>Thanks for the reply! I&#8217;ve thought about the sync issue. I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s it though, because the PVM will use sync from an external input as well as a generator. Also if it was a sync issue I should still be able to see something, even if it were scrambled. </p>

<p>I&#8217;m attempting to set up some Sony PVM-20L5&#8217;s for a retro video installation. I&#8217;m trying to run a HD signal into them using a HDCAM  J-H3.  The monitor won&#8217;t seem to take the HD-SDI signal.  The tape is 59.94  1080i, which the PVM-20L5 should take&#8230; I thought. I have been able to run a SD Composite signal&hellip;</p>
