Thank you Tod Hopkins, when you say a TV as a data display monitor- is it because of the connection? The connection is also HDMI (which is an industry standard and coming from PCiE card- approved by mac), whereas the BMD or AJA is also connected via thunderbolt and the output is still hdmi or sdi feeding the standard monitors.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated, but as far as I know with Blackmagic devices, it only works with specific resolutions and all are 16/9, none of them were 9/16? could you please let me know , with what 9/16 sequence settings you were able to produce output on a monitor? and which monitor? via hdmi/sdi? once again thanks
