I have had success doing the same thing and going further by changing I/O points to narrow down where on the track.

Make sequence settings same as what you want to export (codec and resolution). Render the sequence in Premiere then on export, check the box to use preview renders. For me, this has stopped issues like yours. I believe when I have certain effects or too many layered that it cause such an issue.

Issue has been resolved. This resolution would likely have worked with 2019.12.4 but 2021.6 works. I unistalled Avid Cloud whatever. I edited launch agents to keep Avid Link from running (to keep from having to constantly “quit” the app) – MC would not launch as long as it is running.

MC worked fine on 8.9.4 – I installed 2019.12.4, uninstalled, installed 2019.12 – activity monitor always shows “not reponding” while trying to launch. Yes, 14.5 is broken on my MAC High Sierra – I had to roll back a version.

Yes, 14.5 does not let you organize bin clips, nor allow you to drag in assets from Media Browser. Also, you cannot hit the delete key to delete an effect like Lumetri while in the effects panel. Instead you have to right click the effect and select clear.

You might can dictate where the media goes – not sure as I haven’t been in MC for years now. Edited only on MC for 22 years before company made me move to Premiere.

I understand. I’m not sure how MC prioritizes numbered folders inside the MXF folder. One thing is to do a quick test by transcoding something, create a new folder and test again. If all else fails you could sort by date and move media files to a new folder before copying but it should resort to that.
