Whenever I want to see the current keyframes in a layer I have it selected and press U. Is there any similar way to do the same but to show expressions of that layer?

Hello.

While working in AE I must have pressed something that made this kind of frame/wireframe appear and I can’t find how to hide it, especially because I don’t know what it is called, so googling is difficult.

I’m pretty sure it’s one click or key away, but simply can’t find it. (I’m on a Mac)
