AE tells me it cannot produce a numeric value for [x,y]</p>

<p>this is what i have now:</p>

<p>y=Math.sin(t*2*Math.PI*f/thisComp.layer(&#8220;SLIDER controls&#8221;).effect(&#8220;Speed&#8221;)(&#8220;Slider&#8221;));</p>
<p>y=Math.pow(y, 0.5) * (y&lt;0 ? -1:1) * a;</p>

<p>Im trying to keep a pulse in my animation and let the Math.sin expression dictate that pulse. My expression is as follows:</p>
