Yes, the “lossless” preset and .avi does work; what’s funny is that QuickTime + Avid Codecs (DNxHD, DNxHR) *does* render into any other drive than the “S:” drive; what returns the error in every drive is if I set the h264 codec. So strange!

Anyway, I think this is too time consuming to investigate and troubleshoot; I think I’ll just use my old…

Thank you so much for the answer. Unfortunately, I am trying to recover some old project which uses expressions, particles and camera raw presets and (I tested this) if I update the projects to newer AE versions something will always change, even if slightly. I need to be conservative in this project recovery.

QuickTime MOV AE CC2015 Render Issues

Hello all! I recently installed Win11 on my workstation and set it up. Concerned software versions:

AE CC2015 13.5.0

Apple Software Updater 2.1.3 (I blocked the updates)

Avid Codecs LE 2.7.6

QuickTime 7.79.80 [legacy codecs enabled]

Rendering to .mov files results in various issues. While .mov with h264 codec fails on every storage drive, .mov files…
