If I cut out a section of audio with steady background noise (equipment fans) and then butt the remaining ends together, Vegas does a one-frame audio dip to 0dB on the tail of the outgoing event and on the head of the incoming event. So, when I butt them together I have to then manually undo the dips.

Is there some setting that will make Vegas stop…

My needs are for “Speech-to-Text”. However, I just read that for the most part the Microsoft Azure outage problem was rectified within a day or so of its first occurrence and that Microsoft has halted any changes to that platform that would create additional/recurring problems. So is Magix STILL affected by this, causing terrible problems…
