I just remembered another workaround.
You can run directly FCP7 with Retroactive:

Unfortunately is discontinued, but you can run it on Macs with MacOs Sonoma or earlier.

Hi Dixon.
Another option is to transform your projects vía XML from FCP to FCPX with SendtoX App.
But the problem is that if you don’t have the XML version of your projects, you’ll need to run anywhere a FCP7, even without footage, plugins, etc. And old slow mac running FCP7 is enough.

I’m running FCP 10.8.1 over MacOs 14.6.1 on M1
I am editing 4k footage on a HD project.
I’m experimenting an issue when I apply any of these effects on any clip: the effect automatically upscale the clip. I checked all the parameters, but onece is applied it automatically is up scaled and there are no way to avoid this scale problem.

Clips have identical duration, but different name. If I use the Replace function the in point is not applied so it doesn’t work whatever function I select (Replace, from begging, from end…)

Compound clip could be the better option, I will try.
