It does work for me! Never used QT player for anything, only editing software to capture. So thank you for pointing out this feature. Now I can get back to this project.

I did notice the menu but do not have a monitor that displays it yet. I do get video from it played back on my mac monitor but no menu. Thanks for the suggestion and I’ll try to get the menu displayed. My problem is that it stops at the end of each clip and needs to be restarted for the following clip.

I’ve tried it on FCP 5 and X and both do not work with the DSR 2000 so this is the reason for looking at PP6 which I also used when it came out. I looked for PP6 lists of compatible decks and it wasn’t on it but there was mention of PP6 being able to work with pro decks so I was hoping to get an affirmation from someone that it might be an option…

I’m using Sony TRV900 into both mac pro 2010 and mac mini 2015 by firewire and they both work so I’m also using older equipment too. But I have problem tapes that only the DSR 2000 will play and wondered if PP6 works with this deck.

Does Premiere Pro 6 work with this deck? Need to capture some tape from 20 years ago.

When using Final Cut Pro 5 and selecting “non controllable device” it does not recognize the deck. In FCP X, it stops after each clip and the “import” button needs to pressed again. Is there a way to capture the whole tape into a Mac? Is there a DSR 2000A menu setting to make?

Is there a FCP version that works with this deck? FCP 5 does not recognize it and “non-controllable device” is selected. FCP X does not continuously import and stops at the end of each clip so “import” has to be pushed constantly. Or is there a setting on the deck that needs to be selected?
