Thanks Steve. Valuable advice and that is the way we normally handle any photo is to attempt to clarify it’s bonafides. I just for some reason or other got hung up on Wikipedia claiming in was covered under CC licensing .

Thanks for taking a look. That was my assumption however I’m still not clear on what credit is required by CC other than, out of courtesy, adding a photo or artist credit or a credit for the author. In the case of the photo there seems to be no one to credit.

I need to use a half dozen or so Public Domain photos that are on Wikimedia and Wikipedia sites. The photo description clearly say these are public domain, but also are Licensed through Creative Commons. I must be overthinking this since public domain is public domain….Right? The title does not do this bizarre phenomenon justice. I’m editing on a 1080/29.97P timeline with 4K footage from a Sony PXW FS5 and an A7R II all shot at 29.97P. I’m about 32 minutes into a 1 hr program. I just finished grading two segments of about 15 minutes, selected all that part of the show and told it to render cache color output.

I have my auto save set up to save every 10 minutes and also have live save selected. Had a recent crash where I lost a lot of work on a timeline and when I looked at my backups, there were 2 at 8am & 8:40a then nothing until about 3pm. So I had the beginning of my day back-up and late afternoon which was after the crash.
