I agree and I’ve run them. Didn’t mean to be avoidant there. The NAS also does a scrub from time to time. I feel like there is a Windows setting somewhere that we’re missing that would put this workflow upside down as everything just seems RIGHT.

While I do not feel we have any bad drives due to the way the NAS is performing I will say that we updated to v24 of Premiere at the beginning of this season and that avenue, trying to see if v23 would be less problematic, has not been explored.

After timing things, I believe the projects load in a reasonable amount of time. The issue is the intermittent Media Pending pauses which I’m unable to replicate currently (no doubt when the systems will be needed to something time-sensitive it will resume). Project Files as well as all cache and render files are similarly stored locally on an SSD for our setup as well.

We’re talking about multiple project files having the same issue however I do not have them in front of me to get you file sizes.

While I agree with you this is easier said-than done when working with workflows that already exist. While this is indeed a consideration I do not believe this is our only source of issues so I’d like to examine what else might be out of sorts.

You’d hope they would share however I do see your point. Easier said than done at this point. Also, I feel like this has become a larger issue in the past 12 months so I feel like it’s a performance/setting rather than an outright ‘this scenario doesn’t work’ situation.

On FCP 7 (and I think 6) if you had a clip that was continuous and you ‘bladed’ it, red arrows would show up on either side of the cut to indicate it was a continuous clip. I’m sure this has been discussed ad-nauseam but has Adobe ever said if they will definitely NOT do something similar?

I’ve been attempting to de-interlace some SD footage coming into my Teranex 2D via SDI and outputting via SDI. It’s coming in NTSC 480i and outputting 720p 59.94. Does anyone have some specific settings that will help with this please?
