First in FCP i create a Project and Library. I then bring my media in. Mini Tapes or VHS tapes. Then I put them on the timeline and transfer them to DVD. I do it this way because I need to edit and soundtrack the footage.</p>

My Mac is a bit behind regards new set up. Software&#8230;Catalina 10.15.7  FCP..10.5.4. If I upgrade I will not be able to transfer V.H.S tapes and mini tapes. I will try the sound software in FCP. Was asking for short cut, but it is better to learn.</p>
