<p>The real answer is no. You can&#8217;t export to H.264 from your production codec (ProRes, or in your case DVCProHD) without a loss of quality. There will always be *some* loss due to compression.</p>
<p>But what you can do is make good choices along the way and minimize the effect of compression.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve had that issue before and what helped for me was copying over the entire file structure of the card (I&#8217;m assuming you&#8217;re coming from a card-based media source) onto your edit system&#8217;s drive storage. </p>
<p>I would make a new folder on your edit drive somewhere, name it the same as the troublesome card&#8217;s name (cam_sd for example), and then&hellip;</p>
