If you have more than about 50 layers, or a small enough window, this isn&#8217;t the best solution. </p>
<p>The best GUI approach I&#8217;ve found to delete keyframes of all layers would be:</p>

<p>I&#8217;m viewing main comp&#8217;s output while viewing sub comp&#8217;s timeline. </p>
<p>I set my work area (in sub comp timeline). I hit preview. Guess what happens?</p>
<p>The timeline view switches to main comp&#8217;s timeline and previews main comp&#8217;s work area, which is almost always set differently and irrelevant in the moment.</p>

<p>&#8220;notes&#8221; is the comp and <span>&#8220;Null 1&#8221; is the parent layer. The code below goes into the Hue of the Change Color effect of every music note layer.</span></p>
<p>comp(&#8220;notes&#8221;).layer(&#8220;Null 1&#8221;).effect(&#8220;Change Color&#8221;)(&#8220;Hue Transform&#8221;).valueAtTime(inPoint);</p>

<p>The keyframes are sourced from a MIDI export, and I&#8217;m converting the MIDI velocity values to color hues in an expression on a parent layer.</p>
