<p>You will find most of the preferences related to how projects are saved in</p>
<p>Resolve ▸ Preferences… ▸ User ▸ Project Save and Load</p>
<p>Most likely you have Live Save enabled.</p>
<p>Alternately you can load a project as read only—one of the context menu options available in the Project Manager</p>

Navigate to the location of the media using the Media Storage browser. You will need to reimport the media. </p>
