The camera must shut it during pixel compensation so that no light strikes the sensor for proper evaluation.</p>

<p>I realize this post is a bit old. I have a JVC GY-HM750U camera that I just performed the dead pixel procedure on. I now have a black screen just like the previous post. All viewfinder information shows. I can go into the advanced menu and toggle the pixel compensation on and off, and see the dead pixels corrected.
