I had an FCPX project with some slowed down audio clips (85% speed) in post a couple months ago and XtoPro had some issues that took extra time for the audio mix. Resolve offers some features that FCPX lacks. FCPXʻs magnetic timeline and assigning audio roles seem counterintuitive to me.

I started a documentary in FCPX but want to switch to Resolve to finish the project (including ingesting new footage as well as editing). Curious if anyone has made this move and is willing to share their experience, any links to how to videos, or links to step by step instructions that were helpful. Thanks!

Audio mixer is using X2Pro to get audio from my FCPX 10.6.10 project and into his mixing software. He tells me he’ll have to manually adjust and do a 12 frame ripple to keep synch for one hour timeline because dialog has been changed to 85% speed in several places. This seems odd to me, to say the least… Anyone else experienced this issue?

The Canon XA50 footage is .mp4 (MXF) and the other footage source is an iPhone 13 Pro set for Most Compatible (vs High Efficiency). Any Adobe Premiere users have experience with a setting that works to combine these two types of footage in a sequence?

Finally updated my MacBook Pro to Catalina OS (I work in documentaries and this was first good time to update since 2016) and had to update to FCPX 10.4.8 because of the OS update.

FCPX is warning me it has to update my Librairies and then I won’t be able to use them with earlier versions.
