Why?! Audition cut-paste makes little "legs" at edges but crossfade is off.

I can’t figure out why AA is doing this when I copy and paste within the same WAV file. I have turned off crossfades in Preferences>Data, and also tried setting it to a different number of milliseconds. But Audition always makes these little “legs”. Hmm. I redid it all with my boyfriend, so I had another pair of eyes that I wasn’t doing something goofy, like mouse upside down, and seemed okay.

I never did figure it out. I just restarted after trashing preferences and rebooting 4 times when the %$#@!*& barometric pressure was rising, and it was okay.

Really odd!

So bizarre! Cursor position is offset.

I have tried quitting and restarting, but I can’t figure out why there’s a difference between where I click and where AE thinks I’m clicking. It’s offset by a few hundred pixels, which is making it impossible to select points on a bezier curve.
