Thanks for your reply. While technically choking the matte works, it’s not perfect as there is always either a little too much choking (causing the effect to not truly reach the edges of the layer) or too little choking causing the slightest darkening of edges.

I’m on AE 18.0.1 on PC and I’ve opened a pre-comp to find it is setup with 2 3D views. When I went to look for the dropdown to reduce it to 1 view I can’t find it! Weird! Super annoying and I still can’t find a solution. Weirdly in other comps the menu IS there.
